Our route: Drove from Rockport Texas to Houston, flew to New Jersey/Brussels/Delhi. The rest of the trip was by bus except by train from Agra to Jhansi and by air from Khajuraho to Varanasi/Kathmandu/Delhi. The bus ride from Jhansi to Khajuraho was particularly rough, due to the extremely poor road (and I use that word loosely) but most due to the poor bus that had little left in the shock absorber department.
