2017 Chile Argentina

If you’re looking for a vacation off the usual path (and without a lot of jet-lag), we’ve got a great suggestion – Chile and Argentina. This was an AHI-organized tour involving several university groups; Arizona, Kansas State, Michigan and Wisconsin. Our fearless Travel Director was Ariana – fearless in the face of herding a multiplicity of personalities through hotels, buses, boats, hikes, airports, planes, events and dinners. Well done.
We started in Santiago, Chile and ended in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In between were stories of revolution, earthquakes, breathtaking alpine scenery, a winning empanada, Nazis, sharing mate (mah tā), huesos and gauchos, beautiful graffiti, Boca Juniors, inflation, penguins, Mapuches, towering volcanoes and waterfalls, a curanto and Malbec. All of this shared with a great group that was a treat to travel with.
