2022 Canadian Maritimes

Suzanne and I did a 3-day pre-trip from Rockport TX to Boston to enjoy that area and get our travel legs as this was only our 2nd major excursion since the start of the pandemic in 2020. Lots of airline issues but everyone seemed to take it in stride. So glad this is the age of the cell phone and the internet as we never would have been able to make the changes we did.

This was a late June 2022 AHI (our 14th with them) land tour of the 3 provinces of Canada (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island) known collectively as the Canadian Maritimes. 2020 and 2021 had damaged the tourism industry, including the airlines, so that we were very welcome to the Canadians. There were 19 travelers, and we were provided a full-size motorcoach (40+ seating) so we could spread out. The journey started in Halifax NS, took a long ferry ride to Saint John NB, traveled over the longest causeway over ice-covered water to Charlottetown PEI, visited Baddeck NS and Cape Breton, winding up back where we started at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel.
