With a lease in hand for part of Mathis Park from the City of Rockport Texas, a group of adventuresome gardeners headed by Judy Sanders built 11 raised beds as an initial start to a community garden. In mid-October we finally got the joy of putting plants in the ground (or raised beds as it may be). Due to the late start, mostly container plants were used with some quick crops such as radishes and carrots planted as seeds. More to follow.
